What is community design? How does it impact me?
Community design focuses on how our community looks and feels. The environment you live, work, play and visit in is impacted by many factors, but most clearly is the impact Community Design has on your daily life. Community Design can be the visual character of the community(community character, architectural standards, and quality), it can be thephysical design of the community (anything from sidewalks, to setbacks, topublic spaces), it can be the landscaped and open spaces (streetscapes, landscape buffering, parking lot screening), it can appear in the form ofdensity, and it can even be seen in how storm and surface water is managed(natural drainage ways, greenways, detention ponds, and other communityamenities). Chances are you notice the design of your community everyday!
We encourage you to stay engaged throughout the Community Designoutreach and provide your input in various ways, starting with the visualpreference surveys located on this page.
